Social Studies (7H~ McCourt, 7J~ Chaisson and 7K~ Breedon)
Students have finished working on some Remembrance Day activities. Any students that have not yet handed these in, should do so on Monday!
We have just started chapter 3 in the text book and are learning about economic security and Canada’s economic system. We will be doing some in-class activities in small groups and going to the computer lab at the beginning of the week to complete a short assignment on Canadian Entrepreneurs.
Language Arts (7F~ Young and 7K~ Breedon)
Most students have completed their second last assignment for our “Step Up” theme (creating a t-shirt logo for a cause they feel strongly about). Any students that have not yet completed this will be doing so at the beginning of the week so they can then participate in Read-In week.
Read-In week (November 17-2)
During this week we will be highlighting the value of literacy in our lives. Students will spend time reading for their pleasure, listening to guest speakers talk about their reading experiences, sharing their favorite books, and competing in book trivia, among other activities.
